Obiettivi formativi

The aim of the lab is to make the students familiar with the basic concepts of linguistics and its objects of study -language and its varieties. The lab will try to facilitate acquiring the instruments needed to identify and analyze varieties (language, dialects, accents etc.) in use in the society. The lab will also try to make the students read and understand the seminal articles concerning the langauge and its relationship with society.

The lab English Anthropological Linguistics hopes to inculcate a critical sensibility about the use of language in the society and the relationship between them (language and society) examining the concepts like language, dialect, variations, choice of code, multilingualism and multiculturalism. It is expected from the students that at the end of the course they will be familiar with the issues concerning the study of language. It is also expected from them that they can read and understand the fundamental academic articles in English and express their considered opinion Clearl
