Programma

Basic quantitative tools for analysis of data: theory (Econometrics) and practice (STATA)

Application of econometric tools to development economics. 

In particular, the following topics will be covered: 

  • Data management and basic statistics in STATA
  • OLS: introduction, assumptions & applications
  • Causal inference, difference-in-differences & programme evaluation
  • Instrumental Variables
  • Analysis of panel data (an introduction)
  • Introduction to non-linear models

Basic quantitative tools for analysis of data: theory (Econometrics) and practice (STATA)

Students enrolled can download a study-version of STATA 16 for practice.
