    Silvia Martinelli is lawyer, Philosophiae Doctor (PhD), Adjunct Professor in Institution of Private Law and Family Law and PI, coordinator and adjunct professor of the JM Module PlatformLaw , Research Fellow at the University of Turin, co-founder and Fellow at the Turin Observatory on Economic Law and Innovation (TOELI), Fellow at the Information Society Law Center (ISLC), Strategic Research Manager in Data Valley, Fellow of the Italian Academy of the Internet Code, Socio corrispondente dell’Unione dei privatisti.

     

    Graduated in Law at the University of Milan and specialized in Legal Informatics, she obtained her doctorate with merit from the University of Turin.

     

    She wrote two monographies: “I contratti della platform economy. Ruoli e responsabilità delle piattaforme, Giappichelli, 2023” and “Diritto all’oblio e motori di ricerca. Memoria e privacy nell’era digitale”, Giuffrè, 2017. Co-editor of the books “Manuale di diritto privato e nuove tecnologie” and “Legal Tech, Contract Redesign and Big Data per professionisti e imprese”, 2022. She wrote many scientific articles about e-commerce, data protection, private law, provider’s liability and platform economy, contracts.

     

    Winner of the JM Module “PLATFORMLAW - Platform & Data Economy European Legal Framework: platform, data-driven business models, AI and contract automation”, come Project Coordinator, ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH, www.platformlaw.unito.it

     

     

    She is also co-founder and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Law, Market & Innovation (JLMI), TOELI Research Papers coordinator, member of the Board of the Journal of Strategic Contracting and Negotiation and of the Editorial Committee of the Law Reviews “Ciberspazio e Diritto”, “Diritto, Mercato e Tecnologia” and “Diritto di Internet.

     

    In Data Valley she is Strategic Research Manager and deals with research related to data-driven business models and the development of high-tech solutions and services.
