Obiettivi formativi
Il Lettorato è strutturato in modo da favorire uno sviluppo omogeneo delle quattro abilità fondamentali in LS (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) con costante riferimento a contesti comunicativi autentici e senza tralasciare gli aspetti culturali della lingua stessa.
Il superamento della prova di lettorato è necessario per poter accedere all'esame di lingua inglese.
Tuttavia, gli/le student* in possesso di un attestato internazionale di livello B2 (FCE, IELTS 6, etc.) o superiore, ottenuto non oltre i 36 mesi precedenti l'esame di Lingua inglese, potranno frequentare direttamente il corso di Lingua senza sostenere la prova del lettorato. Dovranno inviare prima dell'esame una copia della certificazione originale che ne attesti il conseguimento alla docente di lettorato o direttamente al* docente di lingua.
The Lettorato course has been designed to promote a balanced development of the four fundamental linguistic abilities (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) through constant reference to authentic communicative contexts. Particular attention will be devoted to the cultural aspects of the English language as well.
Passing the lettorato test is mandatory in order to access the English language exam.
However, students who have been awarded an internationally-recognized certification at level B2 or higher within 36 months before the date of the Lingua inglese exam will be granted direct access to the Lingua inglese course and exam without taking the lettorato test. Before the English language exam, these students must send a copy of the original document attesting that they have obtained the certificate to the lettorato teacher or directly to the English Language teacher.

Al termine del corso gli/le student* dovranno dimostrare di aver raggiunto una conoscenza delle strutture linguistiche e una capacità di utilizzo comunicativo della lingua inglese collocabile al livello B2 (intermedio superiore) del Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue (QCER).
At the end of the course, students shall demonstrate to have achieved the ability to use the language at level B2 (upper-intermediate) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and master the necessary grammatical structures.
Passing the lettorato test is mandatory in order to access the English language exam.

Modalità di insegnamento
Il corso consiste in 35 ore di lezione erogate in presenza (Aula Magna), garantendo però tramite collegamento video (Webex) la possibilità di seguirle anche a distanza, per coloro che fossero impossibilitati a frequentarle di persona. Il link per partecipare a distanza alle lezioni è fornito nella pagina Moodle del corso (v. sotto). Ulteriori precisazioni potranno essere fornite a seconda dell'andamento della pandemia e delle linee guida del Dipartimento.
Per poter seguire il corso e usufruire dei materiali didattici, è necessario iscriversi alla pagina Campusnet e alla pagina Moodle del corso.
Lectures, 35 hours delivered in person on Campus (Aula Magna). However, the possibility to attend remotely will also be offfered to those who cannot come to class in person. The link to participate online to classes is provided on the course Moodle page (see below). Further information may be provided according to how the pandemic evolves and according to Department guidelines.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Prova scritta. La prova si svolgerà al termine del corso (frequentanti) o in apposita sessione d'esame (non frequentanti). Si è considerati frequentanti con la partecipazione ad almeno 7 lezioni oltre all'undicesima e ultima, in cui si terrà l'esame.
Durante la prova non sarà consentito l'uso di dizionari, appunti o altro strumento di consultazione*.
Il voto della prova di lettorato ha validità di un anno dalla sessione di superamento.
Per gli/le student* di Giurisprudenza, il voto consiste in un'idoneità, non in una valutazione in trentesimi.
Non è prevista la prova di lettorato per gli/le student* del corso di Amministrazione Aziendale, benché quest* possano frequentare il corso.

*Gli/le student* con DSA possono contattare via mail la docente almeno 30 giorni prima della prova che intendono svolgere, inviando la documentazione (modulo trattamento individuale) relativa al proprio DSA ed alle richieste di misure compensative, che verranno discusse e concordate con la docente. Si consiglia, se non già fatto, di contattare preventivamente l'Ufficio Studenti con Disabilità e DSA (ufficio.dsa@unito.it) per la presa in carico e la documentazione, e di aggiungere l'ufficio in copia nella corrispondenza email con la docente.
Online written test. The test will be at the end of the course (for attenders) or during official exam sessions (non-attenders). To qualify as an attender, it is necessary to attend at least 7 lessons in addition to the eleventh and final one, when the test will take place.*
Dictionaries, notes, electronic devices etc. cannot be used during the test.
The result of the lettorato test will be valid for one year from the exam session when it was achieved.
Law students will be given an "idoneità" - that is, their test will be assessed as either sufficient ("idoneo") or not, rather than through a score on a maximum of 30.
Students in Amministrazione Aziendale are not required to take the lettorato exam, although they can attend the course.

*Students with DSA (i.e., learning disorders) should contact the teacher via email at least 30 days before the test, sending documentation ("modulo trattamento individuale") regarding their disorder and the requested compensation strategies, which will be discussed and agreed upon with the teacher. Prior to that, it is recommended that you contact the Unito DSA Service (ufficio.dsa@unito.it), unless you are already in touch.
