Critical analysis of  the role played by the major International Financial Institutions in the promotion of legal reforms 

Identification of "legal transplants and legal reforms" as a new paradigm supporting countries' economic performance

By completion of the seminar students will be able to recognize the forms and contents of some projects for legal reforms played by the EU and the World Bank in the recent years.

Also, they will be exposed to understanding the role played by elements of resistance,  like the language and other path dependents factors, in the adoption of legal reform inspired by International Institutions.
