Preliminary reading materials to be found on our online course page
Dear Students,
We are sorry we couldn't start our courses with you on 27th February 2020. Actually, we thought we would be able to start this week but unfortunately the university has told us to wait another week.
So, to start you thinking about our English courses, we have prepared some introductory reading materials which we would like you to start working on before our first class. You will find the texts in a downloadable PDF file in the "materiale didattico" section of our course webpage . Remember that you need to log in in order to access files in this section.
Some of these texts were taken from the 'lettorato dispensa' and 'lettorato' webpage but the other two texts (the English as a Global Lanuage and the Fourth Industrial Revolution blurbs as well as the Introduction to the latter volume) will introduce you to some of the topics we will deal with during our courses.
During class we will ask you how you read these texts. So reading strategies will be one of the first tasks we will talk about.
