Students will be able to master the main trajectories of the debate on innovation, green economy and development. They will be able to apply the theory to case studies in different domains of the economy.

The course will address the following topics.
-Issues related to economic growth, sustainability, de-growth and the "Beyond GDP" debate
-The relation between innovation and well-being
-Eco-innovations, indicators, and policies
-Eco-innovations and job creation (Green Jobs)
-Green economy and the ICT sector
-Eco-innovations and small enterprises in the Global South
-Technologies for carbon capture

-Student will work in groups of two/three to prepare a mid-term presentation.
-Written exam
Percentage of final mark:
Class presentation (50%)
Written exam (50% - multiple answer questions and open questions).
Students that did not attend the course and did not participate to group works will answer two more open questions in the final written exam.
