- Una volta superata la prova del Lettorato di Lingua Inglese Livello 2 il risultato resta valido per la durata del corso di studio e dà l’accesso a un corso di Lettorato di Lingua Inglese Livello 3 Once students have passed the L2 lettorato test, their results will remain valid throughout their course of study. A pass mark in the L2 Lettorato test is one of the requirements to access a Level 3 English Language Lettorato course.

Obiettivi formativi
Il percorso dei Lettorati di Lingua Inglese ha lo scopo di portare lo studente ad un livello intermedio che gli permetterà di affrontare il corso monografico di Linguistica/Lingua Inglese.
The Lettorato di Lingua Inglese course is designed to help students reach an intermediate level of English in order to prepare them to take the Linguistica/Lingua Inglese, “corso monografico”.

Al termine del percorso formativo, l'allievo dovrà essere in grado di raggiungere i seguenti obiettivi: 1) capacità di comprendere i punti essenziali di messaggi chiari con linguaggio standard su argomenti familiari tipici di lavoro, scuola, tempo libero ecc., 2) essere in grado di cavarsela in diverse situazioni che si possono presentare quando si viaggia in zone in cui si parla inglese, 3) saper produrre testi semplici e coerenti su argomenti familiari e di interesse personale. 4) essere in grado di descrivere esperienze e avvenimenti, sogni, speranze, ambizioni, di esporre brevemente le proprie ragioni e dare spiegazioni su opinioni e progetti.
At the end of the course, the student should achieve the following: 1) ability to understand the fundamental ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization, 2) be able to interact with relative fluency and spontaneity, 3) know how to produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of topics and express an opinion on a topical topic, explaining the pros and cons of the different options.

Two 2-hour, in-person lessons each week during the semester.
The textbook, which includes the necessary codes to access both the digital book and the online platform is a basic attendance requirement. As the access codes are personal and non-transferable, purchasing a new copy of the book is recommended. Completion of the assigned exercises on the online platform is a requirement of the course and for taking the final test.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Partecipazione alle lezioni, prove in itinere e una verifica finale di novanta minuti. Tramite una serie di esercizi scritti, lo studente dovrà dimostrare di avere un controllo adeguato della grammatica e del lessico compresi nel programma e la capacità di capire un testo scritto.
La prova finale si svolgerà in aula (non online su Moodle) la settimana dopo la fine del corso.
Participation in lessons, ongoing tests and a 90-minute final test. Through a series of written exercises, students must demonstrate that they have adequate control of the grammar and vocabulary included in the program and the ability to understand a written text. The final test is written (not online on Moodle) and takes place at the end of the course.

FREQUENZA: Tutti gli studenti e le studentesse sprovvist3 di una certificazione internazionale di Livello B2 del CEF (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) ottenuta da non più di tre anni devono superare una prova finale di Lettorato di Inglese di livello intermedio prima di sostenere l'esame del corso monografico di Linguistica/Lingua Inglese. La prova del Lettorato si può svolgere in due modi: da frequentante o da non frequentante. L’iscrizione ai corsi di lettorato è quindi facoltativa e gli studenti e studentesse possono preparare il test finale direttamente in autonomia.
Attendance requirements: students without an international certificate at a B2 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or with a certificate older than three years must take and pass a final test at the intermediate level in order to access their Linguistica/Lingua Inglese oral examination. The L3 final test can be taken as an ‘attending student’ or as a ‘non-attending student’. Attendance of the lettorato courses is therefore not compulsory, as students can prepare directly for the final test on their own.
Gli iscritti ai lettorati sono divisi in base al livello e devono superare una prova a fine corso per passare al livello successivo o - dopo il terzo livello - all'esame monografico di Lingua Inglese. I frequentanti hanno l'obbligo di partecipare alle lezioni per essere ammessi alle prove di fine corso; chi non raggiunge la frequenza minima potrà ripetere il livello o sostenere la prova di livello intermedio (terzo livello) come non frequentanti.
The students enrolled in a lettorato course are divided into different groups according to their level. At the end of the semester, they have to pass a final test to be admitted to the next level, or - after the third level - to the Lingua Inglese course. Attending students must meet the minimum attendance requirements. If they don’t, they can repeat the same level the following semester, or decide to take the final lettorato test as non-attending students.
Gli studenti e le studentesse che non possono garantire una regolare frequenza durante il semestre sono pregati di non effettuare l'iscrizione a un corso di lettorato. I non frequentanti possono sostenere la prova di livello intermedio a gennaio, giugno o settembre.
Students who cannot attend regularly during the semester are kindly asked not to enroll in a lettorato course. Non-attending students can take the final lettorato test in January, June or September.
Un numero massimo di studenti e studentesse stabilito in base alla capacità dell’aula sarà ammesso in ogni corso. L’iscrizione effettiva sarà confermata durante le prime lezioni dalla propria lettrice, la quale si riserva il diritto di ri-combinare le classi per rendere i corsi equilibrati e di livello omogeneo. L’assenza alla prima lezione implicherà l’automatica perdita del diritto a frequentare il corso.
The maximum number of students that can enrol is based on the capacity of the classroom assigned. Student enrolments will be confirmed at the first lesson by the teacher, who reserves the right to re-organise classes to form groups that are homogeneous and balanced. Students who are absent from the first lesson may lose their place in the class.
Per non perdere la priorità di iscrizione acquisita, durante la prima lezione gli studenti e le studentesse registrat3 devono presentare il risultato stampato del Placement Test EF-SET 50 (o Macmillan Placement Test per student* nel secondo o terzo anno) - scrivendo nome, cognome e numero di matricola - e copia di eventuali certificati e/o attestati.
Students must bring a printed copy of the Placement Test EF-SET 50 (or the Macmillan Placement Test for students in their 2nd and 3rd year) - writing their name, surname, student ID number on the copy - and/or copies of any other language certificates held. Students who do not do so risk losing their place in the course.
