FOR NON ATTENDING STUDENTS: IT WILL CONSIST IN THE ARITHMETIC MEAN OF THE FINAL EVALUATION OF THE TWO MODULES QUALITATIVE METHODS IN GLOBAL SOUTH STUDIES  AND RESEARCH TOOLS AND METHODS IN SOCIO-CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY (WITH ROUNDING UP IF THE ARITHMETIC MEAN IS EQUAL TO .5).

FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS: IT WILL CONSIST IN THE ARITHMETIC MEAN OF THE FINAL EVALUATION OF THE TWO MODULES QUALITATIVE METHODS IIN GLOBAL SOUTH STUDIES  AND RESEARCH TOOLS AND METHODS IN SOCIO-CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY AND OF THE EVALUATION OF GROUP WORK (COUNTING 1/3 EACH)

Attending Students:

1.Hammersley, M. and Atkinson, P., Ethnography. Principles in Practice (2019, fourth edition; or 2007, third edition), only selected chapters

2. Three articles discussed in class.

Module Qualitative Methods:

Selected chapters and articles will be uploaded on the Moodle page of the course.

This course is ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHOSE LAST NAME START WITH M-Z

The course DOING RESEARCH AND FIELDWORK IN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION will be held in the second semester  (starting on 17th February 2024). It consists in two modules: 

- Research Tools and Methods in SC Anthropology from February 17th to March 26th

-Qualitative Methods in GS Studies from March 31st to May 14th

THE LECTURES WILL BE HELD ONLY IN PERSON.

Student enrolling in the 12 credit course titled: DOING RESEARCH AND FIELDWORK IN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, have to register on Campusnet and on the Moodle page of DOING RESEARCH AND FIELDWORK IN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION (M-Z), where they will find instructions for the group work.

Plus they have to register for both modules on the two different pages of Campusnet and Moodle:

1. Research Tools and Methods in socio-cultural Anthropology

2. Qualitative Methods in Global South Studies
