Lo studente dovrà raggiungere una buona comprensione dei problemi storici trattati a lezione, nei libri suggeriti. In coerenza col progetto formativo del corso di laurea, lo studente dovrà mostrare di avere acquisito capacità di uso degli strumenti necessari a:
- discutere criticamente sia oralmente sia con la scrittura i testi storici;
- mostrare capacità di addentrarsi nei dibattiti storiografici affrontati;
- analizzare i processi politici di lungo periodo

Lessons and lectures last for a total of 72 hours (12 CFU)
Students are required to have a good understanding of the historical events taught in the lectures and in the suggested books.

- critically discuss historical texts with appropriate lexicon, both in oral discussions and written assignments;

L'insegnamento, oltre a lezioni frontali del docente, prevede fasi di interrelazioni con gli studenti tramite lettura ed esposizione dei testi indicati dal docente.
L'insegnamento ha come obiettivi il perfezionamento della capacità di comprensione critica degli studenti, attraverso l'analisi storica, e delle abilità di comunicazione orale e scritta.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
L'esame si compone di due parti:
La prima, scritta, verte sul manuale e sulla storia generale del XX secolo. Per i non frequentanti avviene in modalità di domande multiple. Per superare la prova occorrerà ottenere la sufficienza e cioè la votazione di 18/30. Per i frequentanti la prova avverrà attraverso una prova a domande aperte, per superare la quale occorrerà conseguire almeno 18/30. Il voto ottenuto sarà parte integrante della valutazione finale con prova orale sui volumi indicati nella parte specialistica. A partire dagli appelli di gennaio 2021, la verifica della conoscenza del libro di Banti manuale avverrà per tutte e tutti mediante esame a domande multiple. La parte orale costituisce la seconda parte dell'esame.
Si intendono frequentanti coloro che seguono le lezioni in presenza o a distanza o tramite le registrazioni disponibili su moodle. A determinare la qualifica di FREQUENTANTE O NON FREQUENTANTE è la scelta della modalità di svolgimento della prima prova. Chi sostiene l'esame sul manuale da NON FREQUENTANTE sosterrà in tale modalità anche la parte monografica. Chi affronta la parte monografica con la prova da frequentante sosterrà in altre modalità anche la seconda parte.
I NON FREQUENTANTI sosterranno la parte monografica con l'esame orale sui testi indicati. I FREQUENTANTI sceglieranno una questione analizzata nei due libri indicati. Potranno concordarla col docente. Svolgeranno un confronto critico scritto da sottoporre al docente 15 giorni prima dell'orale e da discutere all'appello orale. Il testo non deve superare i 20000 caratteri, spazi inclusi.
The examination consists of two parts:
